Jiaxi Yang was born in Shanghai, China in 1989. After earning her MA degree in Visual Arts Administration at the New York University, she co-founded Fou Gallery. And at the same time, she fell in love with photography and began her studies at the International Center of Photography (one-year certificate program). Her photographs have been exhibited at C.A.N. online museum. She was recently awarded the winner of PDN Photo Annual 2015. And her handmade book The horizontal mode of a waking life was nominated for the LUMA Dummy Book Award Arles 2015.
